Behind Anaurea

The space, the person and some of what shapes the work

Anaurea brings together

embodied experience, creative expression and reflection.

It is a place shaped by curiosity — about how we experience life from within, what helps us stay in contact with ourselves, and what becomes possible when there is room not only to listen, but also to respond.

The Space

What Anaurea is here to hold

The body, breath, movement, sound, words and symbolic imagery offer different ways in — sometimes through attention and quiet reflection, sometimes through movement and expression.

There is no single tradition or method behind the work. Different forms meet where they are useful, with an emphasis on experience rather than arriving at a particular interpretation or outcome.

What matters most is the encounter itself:

noticing what is here,
becoming more familiar with your own responses, and
allowing something of what you find to have a voice.

Behind the Work

Sabrina Gross

My name is Sabrina, and I am the person behind Anaurea.

I grew up in Switzerland, with a mind drawn naturally towards patterns and precision — and another part of me equally at home in movement, nature, subtle rhythms, image, language, sound and creative expression.

For a long time, those ways of meeting the world belonged to different parts of my life.

Anaurea is one place where they are allowed to meet.

The work has grown through years of personal exploration with movement, breath, meditation, sound, writing and creative practice, alongside a deep interest in symbolic language and the felt textures of experience.

I don’t approach these as answers to impose, but as ways of becoming curious: listening more closely, experimenting, expressing, and noticing what actually changes when an idea is encountered through the body rather than understood only through thought.

Much of what you find in Anaurea has grown in this way — through lived experience first, and form afterwards.

What Shapes the Work

Curiosity

A willingness to meet experience before deciding what it means.

The Body

Not simply something to observe, but a place through which sensation, response and expression can be explored.

Creative Language

Poetry, image, sound and symbol can sometimes give form to something that ordinary explanation cannot quite hold.

Attention

A small shift in how we meet a moment can change what becomes perceptible within it.

What May Grow

A few threads held for the future

Anaurea is still young.

There are ideas I would like to explore further — more embodied work, new poetic and symbolic pieces, and eventually forms that may bring some of this work into shared physical space.

I am interested in what can grow without forcing it into shape too early.

For now, Anaurea continues one piece at a time.

The Name

Anaurea is a name I formed around two qualities:

Ana — rising again, spiralling, returning
Aurea — golden, luminous

Together, the name holds something of a return towards what remains alive within.
